Our little ladybug turns one!

I can't believe a year has gone by. Part of me feels like it was another lifetime- I can't imagine our family and I can't imagine my life without Elayna in it. The other part of me can't quite get my head around the fact that my BABY is a year?! Where did the time go by?!
Our life is filled with so much joy because of Laynie. She is our little miracle baby. We don't know why we were so blessed to have her join our family but we are so very thankful she did.

Eli says: Happy Birthday, birthday buddy!

We celebrated by arriving 1.5hrs early for Stake Conference, and then making him sit through the 2 hours of the meeting. Oh, I'm kidding - he hardly sat at all! :) (the girls took turns running with him around the halls)

Glad you had such a sweet day with your 1yr old!

I will always love first birthdays. There is just something so fun about that first bite of cake! And I love that stage when they are growing and learning so quickly.

What a sweetie! I hope it was a great day.

Love the cake!

She is so cute! And I LOVE her cake! I want to make a lady bug cake! Maybe I will make one for Nick's birthday next month...

Happy Birthday Lanie. That did fly by!

Love the ladybug cake. I'm sure that black frosting was fun to get off Laynie's face! At least she enjoyed it, right?

You were very brave with that black and red frosting, but a girl only has one first birthday. Lanie really is such a cute little thing. She may even be smaller than Ashlynn was at that age.

Oh, she's a cute little bug. I hope she had a happy day! I'm shocked it's been a year, too. Doesn't it feel like someone took our babies and gave us toddlers over night? Wow. I love the cake and I hope you're enjoying some one on one time with her now that school has started again! We have GOT to do a play date one of these days!

Happy Birthday to Laynie! I LOVE the cake--so cute! Was it hard to get all the black frosting off her?

Surprisingly enough, the black frosting wiped right off. As easily as if it was white frosting. I was shocked! I didn't think too much about the black frosting until I put the cake in front of her and she immediately went for the head and not the cute red body! Reed joked that if it did stain she'd just look like she had a five o'clock shadow. Just what I want for my 1 year old GIRL! :)

What a cute cake! It's hard to believe she's already one (or one++ since I'm posting this really late). I can still mentally see you pregant and Laynie as a tee-tiny little newborn. Happy belated bday, L!
